Way back when I was a little girl in school, I was one of those annoying people – dressed in a tie and vested with the powers of enforcing discipline, law and order….a Prefect! Armed with a little blue notebook in hand and a pen, I would surreptitiously record the names of ‘offenders’ – students who broke school rules…late? coloured shoelaces? untidy uniform?bad behaviour? – ooo…I scribbled these names with relish. And it is with the same zealousness that I am a prefect of books!

I aim to review books and document my reading journey, sifting out worthwhile stuff to read because ‘I hear times winged chariot drawing near’ (Marvell), so life is too short to spend reading bad stuff.

In between that, expect lots of slacking and randomness from me.

Professionally, I am a face painter (and Boss!) at Artybody and I also work elsewhere (yes, that is my ‘Real’ job that pays a ‘Real’ salary imparting a love for the English language to young children.
